SHoWLE President Douglas Berger will explore the details about the Humanist philosophy including the history, what the Humanist consensus is today, and how to apply Humanism in your everyday life. We will also talk about current events and how to connect them with Humanism.
Besides his 30 years of experience in working within Humanist communities, Doug will also use the book “Creating Change Through Humanism” by Roy Speckhardt as a foundation.
Each session will include some opening remarks or presentation then we will transition to a group discussion.
This is a multi-part workshop meeting once a month for at least 4 months. Participants aren’t required to attend all the sessions or in order. Each should stand as it’s own workshop
For this first session will be in Meeting Room A in the basement of the West Toledo Branch Library.
It is free and open to the public.
