Let Me Die Like A Dog – Supporting Death With Dignity

Ron will talk about his group Final Exit Network and their efforts to support the human right to a death with dignity.
Final Exit Network vision is “Any competent person unbearably suffering an intractable medical condition has the option to die legally and peacefully.” FEN mission is “Educate qualified individuals in practical, peaceful ways to end their lives, offer a compassionate bedside presence, and defend their right to choose.”
Ron Liesemer is vice president of Final Exit Network, chairs the research committee, and is an exit guide. He has a Ph.D. in organic chemistry, did research for DuPont, then evolved into an international business manager. During the 1980’s, based in Geneva Switzerland, he managed DuPont’s Mylar® business in the European region. During the 90’s he created and led the organization that made plastics recycling a reality in the United States. He has been connected with End-of-Life issues for 20 years.
