Before the modern Humanist movement appeared on the scene in the US, Felix Adler had established the New York Society for Ethical Culture in 1877. Ethical Culture is premised on the idea that honoring and living in accordance with ethical principles is central to what it takes to live meaningful and fulfilling lives, and to creating a world that is good for all.
Like Adler and other Ethical culturalists, Humanists believe morality is independent of theology.
Join us as we watch a video, or two, and have a group discussion about ethics and the important place a secular view point is when talking about ethics.
