June 21st is World Humanist Day and to celebrate SHoWLE will be tabling near the 10 Commandments marker on the lawn of the Lucas County Courthouse, at the corner of Adams and Erie, in Downtown Toledo.
Come and help us spread the word about Humanism, the need for church and state separation, and the need for more social justice in the world.
Feel free to join us to hand out flyers or just to show your support of SHoWLE and Humanism in Northwest Ohio and South East Michigan.
Stop by to ask about Humanism and SHoWLE. Operators will be standing by to answer your call.
Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without theism or other supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good. Each year we celebrate by spreading awareness of humanism and gathering together locally to act on our humanist values.
June 21st is also Summer Solstice for northern hemisphere and Winter Solstice for southern hemisphere.
