Secular Humanists of Western Lake Erie (SHoWLE) mem­bers believe we should live our Humanist prin­ci­ples dai­ly. One way to do that is through our busi­ness choic­es. For exam­ple, SHoWLE chose to bank at a cred­it union to become a stake­hold­er where we keep our mon­ey. Our deposits help peo­ple in the local com­mu­ni­ty rather than lin­ing the pock­ets of share­hold­ers.

This page sug­gests a list of Toledo area busi­ness­es that use the rev­enue from cus­tomers to sup­port groups and caus­es that Humanists should­n’t be sup­port­ing such as anti-abortion groups.

This list is a work in progress. It is based on a list com­piled by Kristin Hady, who is a repro­duc­tive rights advo­cate.
