Darwin Day Volunteering at the Seagate Food Bank
February 12 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Celebrate the birth of Charles Darwin by volunteering at the Seagate Food Bank from 6 PM to 8 PM.
To sign-up we require you to give us your RSVP. We would really like to have a minimum of 10 people commit to this event. You are not required to be a SHoWLE member to participate. The Food Bank building is not ADA compliant with several steps needed to enter the building but we are told the actual work can accommodate most people’s abilities.
Seagate requires all guests to wear closed toe shoes (no crocs) and to be dressed for the warehouse as the weather outside reflects the temperature inside the warehouse.
If you have a special concern, feel free to contact Doug at 567-215-2694
If you take the Anthony Wayne Trail you can turn east on Western Ave. Travel to Broadway St and turn left to Maumee Ave. then jog left and head north on Maumee Ave High St is the street right before a bridge over to Emerald Ave.
If you are using Broadway Street coming from the North turn west at Segur Ave High St is the next street west then turn right
If you are using Emerald Ave turn south on to Maumee Ave. High Street is the first street after you cross over the bridge.
Once you arrive park along the building. Look for Doug’s silver car as he should be there before you arrive.
